Tick Tock: Time for an Alarm Clock Refresh

I don’t have the official stats on this, but I would venture to guess that the majority of smart phone owners now use their phone as their alarm clock. Yet it never really works well for me. I end up getting tangled with the cord while I sleep (eek, that’s dangerous), or it falls off the bed, or it comes unplugged. You would think that I would just put it on my nightstand, but then it lays flat, and I can’t easily check the time. Do you see what a problem this is?? Oh the drama.

I found a few solutions for this problem, and wanted to share them. It seems like a dock for my iPhone would be the perfect option. I still get to use my phone, plus it sits upright so I can see the time in the middle of the night. However, realizing that not all of you have iPhones, nor use them for your alarm clock, I also found one cute little birdie alarm with the controls and clock on the back. Check out these fun options to update your alarm clock situation. After all, you do use it every night; shouldn’t you love it?

Carnival Delights

Growing up, my mom took me to a local carnival close to our house each summer. I loved it. LOVED it. So much so that one year when I was particularly sassy around the time of the carnival, my punishment was that we would skip the carnival that year. Oh, I was crushed. Out of all my punishments, that’s the one I remembered most, though I bet it didn’t stop me from being sassy again (sorry, Mom!). But I digress.

Carnival = summer love. I think there are a few around the DC area- the Hubs and I must go!

Penning Thank You Notes

Do you have a certain pen that makes you feel like your handwriting is stellar? One that makes you look at your script and think “dang, this would be a sweet font!” I do. It’s the Uni-ball Impact Signo. I have the capped version, but I found a box of retractable tips for sale on Amazon. I’m assuming their the same.

It has a 1.0mm tip which is SUPER think, with a good ink flow.

This pen is what gets me through writing tons of thank you notes. Before, I had been preferential to the Pilot G2, but I think I’m a convert now.

Did I just blog about pens again? Why yes, yes I did.
